Today’s big story…”Mega Millions jackpot tops $1 billion after no one won $830 million grand prize!”
Love this. It actually makes us want to spend money on a ticket or two. And why not? It’s worth a few bucks. But…the amount is not the topic of this blog post. The topic is all of the dramatic news people that cannot help themselves .. for some reason they HAVE to say something like.. “That’s billion with a B!” And sometimes they even put a dramatic pause in between, “That’s billion……………………………………………………… with a B!”
We know it’s a B. The letter B has never ever sounded like the letter M. Sure, M can be turned upside down and confused with a W but never has an M sounded like a B. Saying “That’s billion with a B!” is as cliché as sticking a ruler into the snow on camera!
Soooooooooooooooo let’s go play the lottery.. hopefully someone I know, or ME wins and, if they do, they spent $1M on a website, “StopSayingBillionsWithaB.com” YaJagoffs!
