May 10th is the day before Mother’s Day. So, let’s celebrate with the mother of all Yinzer events….highlighting Pittsburgh’s favorite dessert, the Strawberry Pretzel Jell-O salad. This year it will make its return to the Block Northway and we hope to see you there.
Here’s the plan:
- Chefs/purveyors create their version of Strawberry Jell-O Pretzel Salad
- Will they keep it traditional or take a new twist on it? (ice cream/smoothie/cookie, etc.)
- They team up with their favorite non-profit organization
- The two organizations serve THEIR version of this Pittsburgh tradition at the mall from 12-2 p.m.
- As event ticket holders, you are invited to sample each of the sweet entries and vote for your favorite.
- A People’s Choice award with award details TBD.
- As event ticket holders, you are invited to sample each of the sweet entries and vote for your favorite whose charity receives a cash donation to the charity.
- The official Jag Judges will also select a winner who will receive bragging rights, and featured on an upcoming YaJagoff Late Night show.
- NOTE: Access is limited. Only those with paid access will be permitted to provide their vote. $5 ticket charge is to help offset creator’s food costs.
