We all have had our random complaints about the Pirates over the years but, right now, the Pirates have the best record in the MLB. Lots of bandwagon jumpers which is fine with us!
That said, Pirates relief pitcher and hometown guy, David Bednar, was basically crowned the king of Pittsburgh last year. This year, after 12 games, he’s struggling…let a coupla games get by him. And, yesterday, the hometown crowd booed the hometown guy for struggling at the beginning of the season AFTER a spring training injury.
Gang.. we’ve all had our reasons to boo but.. this one?? C’mon!
We know some of you are gonna say, “I bought a ticket so I will boo if I want,” which is fair but… it’s 12 games and the Pirates are currently winning… pick the hometown guy up instead of tearing him down.
Meantime, team mate Rowdy Tellez through his support behind the hometown guy. To the early booers, is that what we do Ya Jagoffs? (the negative connotation). And to team mate Rowdy Tellez, that IS what we do, Ya Jagoff! (the friendly connotation)
