DAILY JAGOFF BLAWG

Honoring our Jagoff Jokester Marie

Marie Carcara

Today we celebrate our beloved Aunt Marie who passed this week after celebrating 100 years of life. There is an official obit, but this seems more suitable:

Beautiful Marie:  She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, all of her family, and was known for dancing the Italian Tarantella dance at weddings and even Communions, and maybe random Wednesdays. She loved the casina, and especially the food.  That little lady focused more on multiple buffet trips than slot lever pulls. She took buses to Bellevue and downtown regularly, and attended dance lessons until she was well into her nineties. At 98, she showed us the Charleston at the Heinz History Center to showcase the Roaring 20’s, and this September we saluted her 100th from her window. We adored her wit, her zest for life, and we will forever know her as Cousin Lisa’s beloved Gram, and our city’s Aunt Marie. With love classy lady, rest in peace.
