Western Pennsylvanians have always claimed the parking chair to be a statement. If you see it, you know it is a place saver. You walk on by, nothing else to do. But this local parish doubled down and not only used the chair as a parking saver, they let us know for whom the esteemed spot was designated.
No one that I saw genuflected or bowed heads in reverence, but I don’t think anyone was aggravated that the space was saved for the Bishop. In fact, this guy was responsible for starting a musical tradition at a parish in the North Hills, which raises funds for two separate projects. So a few things learned thanks to the parking chair spot saver.
- Bishops use the power of the chair, too.
- Yinzers don’t get mad at a prime spot being taken when it is the Bish.
- The parking chair is the divine intervention, yajagoff!
