Memorial Day weekend is over and now begins Pittsburgh’s greatest unsolved mystery… matching leftover containers with the lids. Somehow every cupboard contains 47 containers, 83 lids, and NOT ONE SINGLE MATCH. You’ll find yourself aggressively trying to force a round lid onto a square bowl like you’re solving a Rubik’s Cube with stanky potato salad still inside that sat out for hours.
Everybody becomes irrationally confident for about 12 seconds like, “No no no… this lid WILL fit if I angle it correctly.” Then the whole container launches potato salad across the kitchen. Classic post-cookout jagoffery.
Someone … whoever matches the socks… please match the lids and containers, YaJagoff!
