Celebrating 15 years of the blog called for some reflection—more like a pinch-me moment.
The podcast has been around in some gyration for almost a decade. The most notable accomplishment to date is that we landed at KDKA Radio this August. For those who have followed along the entire time, you recall that we had some fun stints on many of the Audacy stations, including segments with Kelly, Elista, and even the legendary Larry Richert.
We birthed YaJagoff Late Night in 2023 and have highlighted commercials with the Steamfitters, Mancini‘s Bakery, Jenny Lee Swirl Bread, and Rohrich Automotive. We collaborated on fun segments with Mitch Dugan, the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, Peoples Gas, and more.
The guests astound us because we have interviewed many Pittsburgh notables, but so many Pittsburgh staples with unique jobs and simply exemplify being a yinzer.
But that surreal moment when Tracy, Michela, and Johnny dimmed the studio in Greentree, and we saw the neon YaJagoff sign light up with the iconic KDKA logo next to it, we knew we were home. It is an honor to be even a minor part of the history at that station. We are five months in…working on an eternity.
