The 2nd stop on the Ya Jagoff fireplace tour was in the Brighton Heights area of Pittsburgh’s Northside. The Frankovich’s opened their home to us jagoffs to talk about many events happening in the next few weeks in our city. First up was a visit from Carlos Carter, the charismatic Executive Director from the Homeless Children Education Fund. He dishes on their upcoming gala and supply donations to help HCEF. John and Rachael also meet their float partners for the St. Patty’s Day Parade—welcome Pukas! We learn how much fun we will have this March 17, but our float description is a surprise! We will be podcasting from a hurling field with these folks, though. Then we chat up what to expect for an enhanced year 5 with Eat Drink Pittsburgh. We catch up with Yelp’s Rachel Carlson and Amy Mauk, Promotions Manager for Entercom, presenters of EDP. Drum roll please, yours truly are food category judges. The Armadillos croon around the fire reminding us that this tour was a warm and welcoming idea, again thanks to Suburban Floor and our pal Bob Hufnagle who will customize any room starting with the floors.
Rachael Rennebeck is a Pittsburgh jagoff (the term of endearment version of jagoff of course) who cofounded YaJagoff Media, LLC. With decades of experience eating, drinking, shopping, living, and being among yinzers, we birthed the Pittsburgh-centric company encompassing all things related to the 412, oh, and the 724.
