Breast Cancer Awareness Month is only halfway through and 412Thrive members have been on soccer, football and even field hockey fields to celebrate. Some host a 50/50 raffle and share funds, others sell bracelets and donate proceeds, and sometimes it is just an old-fashioned fishbowl of funds. Every effort is humbling and appreciated, but there is nothing like your first.
Last night was MY first pink out at Pine Richland’s Field Hockey Lady Rams charity game. This team of girls planned a silent auction, basket raffle, bake sale, and 50/50 raffle for three months. The pink powerhouse, who are the WPIAL team to beat going undefeated this year, even designed their own tee shirt with sales going to 412Thrive. The sea of green turned pink, which included the girls proudly wearing their shirts greeting and coercing fans to support their charity of choice.
The fanfare was overwhelming and the hospitality was unmatched. This is why the term jagoff is that of endearment. Kudos and thanks for the support, yajagoff!
