The story is miracle-esque, goosebump provoking really.
Rachael’s family searched months for a live liver donor for her mother when Sara Booz proved to be the life-saving match. The transplant happened in April of 2019 and in August, the donor and recipient were reunited at the first Ultimate Liver Function. It featured live music and raised money for Community Liver Alliance research, as well as funds for the Booz children college fund.
There will never be a way to repay Sara Booz or her family for the ultimate gift of life. So, although Covid put the liver function on hold for a few years, we are back to celebrating life with the donor and recipient this year at West View Banquet Hall next Saturday with Johnny Angel and the Halos. Tickets are $25 and includes beer and set ups, or you can BYOB.
Expect music, dancing, basket raffles, and more to continue raising funds for the Community Liver Alliance, and contribution to the Booz children as a small token of appreciation for the ultimate gift of life.
