The fourth annual SJPS Standoff is going to be epic thanks to 12 purveyors, Western Pa’s most community-oriented non-profits and five judges to decide who will make a cameo at the Pittsburgh Pierogi festival the following week. Let’s get to know the judgy yinzers:
Eric Heyl: This Patch Pittsburgh Field Editor has three decades of experience as a reporter, editor and columnist. Now SJPS extraordinaire!
Gretchen McKay: The PG Food Editor started out with little food knowledge in 2000, but now with experience and Pittsburgh love, she is ready to tackle some versions of the epic dessert.
Jackie Page: As a chef and owner of Jackie Kennedy Catering, this mover and shaker has her hand in farm-to-table initiatives, Table Magazine food stories and now SJPS tasting!
Kimmi Rhoades: Best recognized for her comedy skits and makeup tutorials, this TikTok star is well known as the Cigarette Mom and can add strawberry pretzel Jell-O tasting to her list of notables!
Ana Eats PGH: Focused on the amazing small businesses of Western PA, this food food influencer gives us all the deets on Pittsburgh eats. May 10 she is declaring a fave of her fave dessert!
