Sing the Song Challenge with Market Square and the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership

Sign, sign, everywhere a sign. Blockin’ out the scenery and breakin’ my mind. Do this, don’t do that, yes you can still dine! But now can you sing the sign? 

New construction fence signage has begun to appear throughout the Square, including wayfinding and promotional panels to help visitors navigate and support local businesses. But that’s just the beginning. The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership has joined forces with YaJagoff! Media to roll out Sing the Sign, an interactive campaign turning lyric-themed signage into a stage for Pittsburghers to celebrate – and sing through – this moment of transformation.

Follow the @YaJagoff and @DowntownPitt on Instagram where the jags will bring the parody lyrics to life with spontaneous performances featuring business owners, Downtown workers, and visitors.

We want YOU in too! Submit new lyrics and “Yinzerfied” construction sign messages, with fresh content rotating throughout the summer by tagging @YaJagoff and @DowntownPitt on Instagram in your post.

Give us your best n’at or dahntahn directive that is Pittsburgh clever. Better yet, parody your own fave song! Message us, tag us, let us see it! We want you to support our friends at Market Square during construction so gift cards will be offered to select participants, and some lyrics will be posted on the 6’ x 10’ signage in Market Square with attribution. So sing the sign, YaJagoff!
