Looking for a fun and colorful way to kick off the spring season? Look no further than the 2023 Annual Quilt Show!
Whether you’re a seasoned quilter or appreciate the beauty of textile art, this event hosted annually by the Three Rivers Quilters Guild has something for everyone. With over 130 stunning quilts on display, live demonstrations, and various quilt-related vendors, it’s the perfect way to spend a day (or two!) surrounded by creativity and inspiration. So grab your friends, bring your appetite, and get ready to experience the joy of quilting at Hollywood Casino at the Meadows in Washington, PA, from Thursday, March 30, to Saturday, April 1.
This year’s theme is “Drunkard’s Path.” The event promises to showcase over 130 quilts from guild members and other quilters. Visitors will have the opportunity to view these stunning works of art and participate in various activities and events.
In addition to the quilts, the show will feature demonstrations of various quilting skills presented by guild members and others. Visitors can also shop at Granny’s Attic sale and browse a variety of quilt-related vendors. The Meadows offers several dining options for those looking for a bite to eat.
One of the show’s highlights is the chance to win outstanding items, including sewing machines donated by participating vendors. Entry into the show is open to the public, and the guild welcomes submissions in all categories. Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded.
The show will be judged by Priscilla Godfrey from Philomont, VA, and Stacy Koehler from Swarthmore, PA. Admission to the show is $10, with passes available for up to three days for $12. On Friday, admission is only $5 from 3:00-7:00 PM.
For those interested in attending with a group, advanced tickets priced at $7 each are available for groups of 10 or more. Please contact quiltshow@threeriversquilters.org at least one week before the show to purchase.
