Featuring one-of-a-kind competitions, world record attempts, and chances for the public to try pogos, Pogopalooza is a celebration pogo sticking. The top professional pogo stick athletes from across the globe will descend upon Pittsburgh to compete for the title of World’s Best in the competitions of High Jump, Best Trick, Tech Freestyle and Big Air Freestyle. Using high-flying air-powered pogo sticks, these athletes will be doing tricks and flips 10+ feet in the air.
The event is free and open to the public.
On Saturday, June 25th, Pogopalooza will move to Xpogo’s HQ in Wilkinsburg (1256 Franklin Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221). The events of the day include the Tech Freestyle competition, where competitors use traditional spring sticks, and the Big Air Freestyle Qualifiers, where competitors will battle to impress the judges and secure a spot in the next day’s Finals.
On Sunday, June 26th, the Big Air Freestyle Final will feature athletes throwing down three 60-second runs to string together the best tricks possible on a custom-built pogo park. The winner will be crowned the world champion. The final professional competition will be Best Trick, a heart-pounding 30-minute contest in which athletes will attempt to land never-before-done tricks. The event will close with the 15- and-under Bounce Off, a contest free and open to kids 15 and under to see who can bounce the longest without falling. The winner will receive an Xpogo pogo stick.
