Popular Pet Showcase Returns to the Burgh!

If you’re a pet lover, mark your calendars for Nov. 18-20, when the Pet Expo comes to Pittsburgh! This three-day event will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and will feature a wide variety of vendors, activities, and entertainment for pet lovers of all ages.

In addition to the more than 250 exhibits of pet-related products & services, there will be fun entertainment and hands-on attractions for the whole family, covering almost 3 acres of indoor space. Pets on leash are welcome!

Here’s a preview of what you can expect at this year’s Pet Expo.

Meet amazing animal ambassadors from around the world. Carnegie Museum of Natural History presents a Live Animal Encounter Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

DareDevil Dogs will also be in attendance. This amazing troupe of talented dogs entertains with lightening fast agility, incredible tricks, and high-flying Frisbee action.

Life Changing Service Dogs for Veterans returns to the expo as well. Join trainers, veterans, and their service dogs to hear how these life-changing canines transform and save lives.

There will also be a wide variety of vendors selling everything from pet food and toys to apparel and accessories. In addition, there will be educational seminars throughout the day on topics such as pet nutrition, obedience training, and choosing the right pet for your lifestyle.

Saturday is “Family Fun Day” at the Pet Expo, with activities and entertainment geared towards kids and families. In addition to the usual array of vendors, there will also be face painting, balloon animals, and other fun activities for kids. Of course, there will also be plenty of adoptable pets looking for their forever homes!

On Sunday, the focus is on “Pampered Pets,” with a special emphasis on pampering your four-legged friend. There will be demonstrations on grooming techniques, as well as vendor booths selling everything from luxury pet beds to designer collars and leashes. And if you’re feeling extra generous, you can even make a donation to one of the many local animal shelters that will be in attendance.
