John Arlet is a jagoff. We arranged to have a jaggin’ around video for today, and he couldn’t commit because he remembered that he was having dinner with his family, after all, as kids get older, we have to take advantage of those moments. Plus, it’s no surprise, considering he has been collecting items for meal preparation on Thanksgiving day to deliver to 3/4 houses for almost a decade.
While this unique fundraiser typically does well, food costs have skyrocketed leaving the eight year fundraiser at a collection of under $2,000 to purchase all the fixings for a holiday meal, with a $6,000 goal by this weekend. From the potatoes to the pie, and including the bird, Arlet and volunteers deliver the contents to multiple 3/4 houses since the act of preparation is critical to helping the recipient in the addiction process.
