Where Ya at YaJagoff

Kitchen by Vangura

We may start a new word: kitchtique.  Catchy? It is a unique, kitchen and boutique combo, and the Kitchen by Vangura is the inspiration for our jag name.

Self-described as a one-of-a-kind cooking class venue and onsite cookware retail space, Vangura resides in Irwin, or the original western terminus of the Pennsylvania Turnpike when it opened in October 1940.

The Kitchen by Vangura has been hosting a cooking and learning series since 2016 where folks can sample bourbon or make cookies, as well as partake in a hands-on how-to of southern style cooking with a Savor the South cooking class.  A couple of favorites include the Titanic themed dinners and the 90’s theme.

Basically, your ticket to the kitchen includes a chef-taught guided learning sesh while you sample the goods, usually in multiple courses. With a list of featured chefs, unique dishes to learn to make and taste test, and a breathtaking environment, who wouldn’t ask where ya at?!
