One day. One local nonprofit. A whole lotta good marketing advice.
Maybe your social media needs a little spark, or your stories deserve a stronger spotlight. Perhaps your flyers are stuck in 2003, or your gala could use a little more pizzazz. We’re inviting friendly Pittsburgh pros to get a little nebby and help your nonprofit tell its story, reach more people, and give your marketing the boost it deserves. You’re doing good. Let’s make sure more people see it.
Coinciding with National Do Something Nice Day, YaJagoff’s Nonprofit Nebby Day launches on October 5, with applications opening for one lucky organization to win a free, one-day marketing strategy session, complete with messaging refresh, social media tips, and a 90-day action plan to keep the momentum going.
Who Can Enter?
- 501(c)(3) nonprofits based in Allegheny County
- Budget under $1 million
- 10 or fewer staff
- No outside marketing agency involved
- Serving community needs in arts, youth, health, environment, or human services
All interested nonprofits that meet the criteria can throw their name into the Nonprofit Nebby Hat by filling out the entry form at YaJagoff.com/NonProfitNebby between Monday, October 5 and Saturday, October 17, at 11:59 p.m.
The winner will be notified on October 21, and will meet onsite at Alloy 26 on October 26 for a “neb session” with a team of local professionals, including:
- YaJagoff Media: John Chamberlin, Rachael Rennebeck, Daniel Casciato, Nathan Legg
- Peoples Natural Gas: Nick Paradise
- Deep Varnish: Shawn Graham
- Nova Place/Alloy 26: Alison Yee
- TribLIVE: Matt Miller & Lindsay Bock
The winning organization will also receive:
- Partner News story on TribLive.com
- $2500 multimedia marketing package courtesy of TribLIVE
- Website review by TribLIVE’s Google Grant Team
- Feature story on YaJagoff.com and KDKA Radio
- Feature story in Alloy 26 newsletter
- Potential for 6-month office lease via Alloy 26
- $2,000 grant through Peoples Natural Gas’ Eat, Drink, Help program
If your nonprofit is looking to level up, apply for a chance to have this team dig in, snoop around (nicely!), and help you freshen up your marketing game.
No purchase is necessary. Limit one entry per organization. The winner agrees to light publicity and follow-ups to show the good that comes from gettin’ nebby!
John Chamberlin and Rachael Rennebeck are Pittsburgh jagoffs (the term of endearment version of jagoff of course) who cofounded YaJagoff Media, LLC. With decades of experience eating, drinking, shopping, living and being among yinzers, we birthed the Pittsburgh-centric company encompassing all things related to the 412, oh and the 724.
