Inspired by the local roots and iconic accomplishments of award-winning actor, singer, director, composer, and playwright Billy Porter, this breathtaking showcase promises an unforgettable experience for all who attend.

“Flowers Meet Fashion: Inspired by Billy Porter” is a one-of-a-kind show that seamlessly blends horticultural wonders with stunning fashion designs. Phipps has collaborated with six professional fashion designers and costumers, along with students from Billy Porter’s alma maters, Carnegie Mellon University and Pittsburgh CAPA High School, to bring this incredible vision to life.

You’ll find yourself surrounded by bursts of bright blooms, from geraniums to begonias, philodendrons, and much more. A Showcase of Talent
The exhibition, “Flowers Meet Fashion: Inspired by Billy Porter,” was brought to life by Associate Director of Exhibits Jordyn Melino and features the work of talented artists such as Madison Michalko, Thee Suburbia, Cathy Olivar, Gloria Swanson, Damian E. Dominguez, Mindy Eshelman, and the students of Carnegie Mellon University and Pittsburgh CAPA 6 – 12.
