Well, ya never know what is going to come out of the YaJagoff HQ!
Yesterday, we were on the Talk Pittsburgh show, KDKA-TV, which is hosted by one of our fave Pittsburgh peeps, Heather Abraham. We announced that we’re partnering with the show to create a regular segment that highlights local small businesses and side hustles. The segment, called JagTag, is a pay-it-forward-don’t-break-the-chain kind of thing! Each time a small business or side hustle is highlighted, they have to choose the next small business or side hustle to be featured. We will do a short video highlighting the business. Feature that here on YaJagoff.com and then that business will be a guest on Talk Pittsburgh.
The first business to be highlighted is Cookie Cookie Ice Cream in Kennedy Township. Cookie Cookie Ice Cream isn’t just an ice cream store – it’s the answer to a question over five years in the asking. When Addison’s sister, Hannah, was in high school, she wanted to work in food service, but there was no restaurant anywhere near her high school that would work with special needs transition students. Now, two years after her graduation, he and his mother, Connie, have created Cookie Cookie Ice Cream to be what they couldn’t find before. Cookie Cookie Ice Cream works with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation to train students from area schools to make and sell cookies, coffee, and ice cream.
Expect to see the JagTag videos here! We are so excited that KDKA-TV and Heather of chosen us to be a partner!! See yinz soon on Talk Pittsburgh… YaJagoffs!
