Where Ya At? Izzazu!

Rachael Rennebeck

The legendary beauty oasis located smack dab on Fifth Avenue downtown is kind of like an “evening out.”  Ironic considering that is what Izzazu means in Italian.

Izzazu is known not for hairdressers or nail techs, but rather as artistic directors, artists and designers skilled in hair cutting, coloring and styling as well as nail art and skin care.  They also have the knack for prescribing specific hair and skin product, and these specialties have kept hundreds of women and men coming back to see Emilio and Gino for over a decade.

Not gonna lie, Rob is my go-to guy for a blow out when I know I cannot get that hair dryer and round brush to sync at home. This is one of my favorite features at Izzazu, and the fact that they will take me for an appointment before 8 a.m.

If you are like me and you wait until your grays don’t look blonde at all anymore, it is time to call Emilio and get some overdue foils and a lesson or two about hydrating my dry hair.  Plus, he agrees that it isn’t necessary to wash EVERY day!

Then I endure a pretty cool looking lamp to perfect my color…and wait for the best head massage I mean shampoo and deep conditioning I have ever had.

I am not a nail gal, but I have seen some gorg tips and toes leaving both locations, downtown and Wexford. But I am making an appointment for a skin assessment with Michelle Richardson for a facial and overdue brow wax. And she just mat be the next subject matter expert on the Izzazu In the Zone Podcast…..

Did someone say podcast? I did! The hair pair John and Rachael adore for styling tips and must-needed products have personalities that need to be shared.  So, two episodes are already available here: https://www.izzazu.com/inthezone and you can find them every six weeks on the Ya Jagoff Podcast!
