Come Walk Like a Jag (With the Jags)

The Jags

PANC CAN Purple Stride, Team Big Poppa, Tony Caliguire

You may recall the “Time With Tony” videos we did as our friend, Tony Caliguire, was going through his treatment of pancreatic cancer. Feel free to click the pick below to see the videos.

Well, “Team Big Poppa,” Tony’s friends, family, supporters and a group of us jags are walking again this year in the PANCAN Purple Stride.

April 25th, 9:30am, North Park.

It’s awesome because, it’s completely outside of the footprint of the NFL Draft… NO TRAFFIC.. NO PARKING FEES!!!

Click this link to come walk with us (or simply donate if you are not able to attend the walk). We’d love to have you on Team Big Poppa with us!

Background…. Team Big Poppa is in second place for 2026 Pittsburgh fundraising teams!

Tony Caliguire was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December of 2022, and sadly passed away in January of 2024. We miss him terribly but aim to keep his memory alive by moving forward and embracing the values of compassion, service, kindness, generosity, and hospitality he embodied. Whether you were meeting him in a boardroom or at his family’s dinner table for a Sunday meal you could always expect a warm smile, sincerity, and a laugh from an (occasionally dirty) joke.

Over the past 3 years, our team of family and friends has raised over $70,000 to support cancer research! This year we hope to surpass $100,000. how can YOU help? You can join our team. You can donate to on of our team members. You can repost our team or PanCAN’s content. Thank you for keeping Tony’s memory alive and working toward improved treatment and outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients.
