Now listen, we’re not saying the judges got it wrong. We’re just saying maybe they didn’t fully appreciate hard-hitting journalism like parking chair investigations, nebby neighborhood commentary, and our ongoing commitment to asking yinzer questions they probably didn’t expect.
But honestly? We’re good. Because while the plaques are shiny and perty, being able to tell Pittsburgh stories, spotlight amazing people, and laugh our way through the city every day is still the real win. Plus, it is less about us and more about our amazing production and behind-the-scenes team of talent, so thank you to Johnny, Monica, Michela and Tracy for the time, talent and commitment every week. Plus, plus, a huge congratulations to all of the talented winners proving that journalism and strong and well in Western Pa.
That said… if there’s a category next year for “Most Likely to Turn a Missed Award into Content,” we’d like to formally submit this blog.
