The 9th annual YaJagoff Pittsburgh Parking Chair Ornament is making its awaited return this holiday season. This chair is unlike any of the years prior, as it now includes snow and a shovel, an integral part of the Pittsburgh parking chair lore.
Why drag that snow shovel in and out when you know it’s just going to show again? Use it to defend your parking spot! The 2025 ornament features a metal café chair and the snow shovel, both parked in a pile of snow, with a ‘no parking’ sign clearly displayed on the shovel handle, so the whole neighborhood knows the message. Go shovel your own spot, ya jagoff!
The concept for the ornament evolved from an initial idea by YaJagoff co-owner, John Chamberlin, in 2017. Every jagoff knows it is Pittsburgh tradition that during the winter months, if a parking spot is shoveled out and has a chair with a ‘no parking’ sign attached, that the space has been claimed. Mary Mac, owner of Mary Mac Bakehouse, helped Chamberlin with the research and development of the ornament and has been designing it since 2019.
The jags will host a few opportunities to purchase the chair at $20 and simply pick up as well as the usual shipping option. Visit the YaJagoff swag tab for purchase: https://www.yajagoff.com/shop/
