In a 2019 Time Magazine article, the beloved Rabbi at the Tree of Life Synagogue, Jeffrey Myers, wrote about the word he will never use again. The word is referred to as the “H” word. The word we are stronger than.
“H corrodes from the inside. It can overcome you until you don’t even recognize it. We cannot allow that to happen. The Tree of Life has been in Pittsburgh for 155 years, and we will be here for 155 years more — shining, as people have done for us, a beacon of love to all.”
