Best of Pittsburgh Podcasts

Five years after its inception, and hundreds of podcasts later, thanks to YOU, the amazing supporters, we are proud to announce that we are The Best Podcast in Pittsburgh 2020. Your votes of over 600,000 declared us number one as a podcast and #2 as a blog for this year’s City Paper Best Of Issue. WHAT?!  Cue the confetti or honk those Rohrich Honda horns….that is our thank you to sponsors Rohrich Honda.

How do two small words like thank you sum up our sincerest gratitude? It’s people like Jason Falls, who first recommended that a podcast be started, Dave DiCello (who hosted the very first podcast), Gwen and Karen of Wahine Media, Hawaii, Doug Derda, Dr. Cyril Wecht, Edgar Snyder, Franco Harris, JuJu, Natalie Bencivenga, Heather Abraham, and Greg Brown, stories from Pete Hewlett, Mike Vale of the Shondells, the Penguin ice caretaker, Brad Radake, Kelly and Elista from 100.7 Star, David Alan, and Sarah Aziz of the Cultural Trust.

It’s places like Sarris Candies, North Country Brewing, Byron Nash’s back porch, Cousin Lisa’s front porch, the Wheeling Nailers, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership holiday Karaoke in Market Square, and the top of the US Steel Building.  it’s friendships built with people like FRZY, Robert Miles, Arthur Moats, Aaron Martin, Nan Cohen, and Katie Love, Michelle Wright, Jim Rooney, Olga George, Linda Jo Thornberg, Justin Matase, TJ the DJ, Jackie Page, Patricia Vince and so many more.

Thanks to musicians like Johnny Angel and Tim Vitullo, and comedians like Collin Chamberlin and Ray Zawodni who we will forever support.  Local businesses like Mary Mac Bakehouse and Pierce Events, which we won’t stop patronizing, and stories that are forever engrained in our minds, we continue. Special shout out to Entercom, especially Jeff Oravitz and Amy Mauk for believing in us, Mike Sorg for pioneering, and Frank Murgia for years of ideas.  To Dudders for inspiration and Bobby Cherry for recognizing the podcast’s worth. To the Chamberlin and Sto-Rox peeps, the Rennebecks, Hunts and hockey families who had no idea what they were in for. Our kids and Willie who put up with the crazy schedules and silliness.

And of course, thank you to the YaJagoff Media Team.. Colin, Collin, Dan, TJ and Michele. You’re da bestest!

We love Pittsburgh and can’t thank you enough for voting, supporting and listening, ya jagoffs!
