Baseball Fans!  Here’s a chance to take your spouse, coworker, son or daughter, grandson or granddaughter out to a one of a kind baseball event.

The Rotary Club of Pittsburgh will hold its 12th annual Chuck Tanner Awards Banquet, on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Rivers Club in downtown Pittsburgh.  As the only “all baseball” banquet in the region, we will once again honor five baseball professionals in the name of the late, great Chuck Tanner!

All five of the awardees will be in attendance, so with the help of the emcee Andrew Stockey of WTAE television, Rotary will present:

*the Chuck Tanner MLB Manager of the Year to Bob Melvin of the Oakland A’s;

*the Tanner Memorial Award to Jason Taillon, Pittsburgh Pirates pitching ace;

*long-time Pirates’ broadcaster Lanny Frattare will be honored with the Tanner Lifetime Achievement Award;

*the Tanner Collegiate Head Coach of the Year Award goes to Jeff Duncan of the Kent State University;

*Sandy Dengler of the Tampa Bay Rays will be presented with the Sally O’Leary Distinguished Women in Baseball Award.

It’s going to be a great night of baseball for fans of all ages!  Doors open at 5:30 PM with a general cocktail reception.   Before and during dinner, there will be both silent and live auctions with some absolutely incredible items up for bid including a Pirate’s Suite; condo in Belize, golf outings, autographed sports memorabilia, jewelry and so much more!

Tickets are still available!  For more information, go to our website at chucktannerbanquet.com or call 412-471-6210.  Come rub elbows with some baseball greats from the past and the present!  You just never know who you might run into!
